Here's the schedule of business and presentations for this weekend's
Libertarian Party of California convention in Long Beach. Ccheduled items
can be rescheduled by the body of delegates.

Friday Afternoon, February 12
The Platform Committee and the Bylaws Committee each meet from Noon until 5
p.m.
Registration opens at 5:30 p.m. Be sure to pick up your convention
admission badge, delegate ribbon (if applicable) and program.
After that, please enjoy all the pleasures that Long Beach offers. We'll
include the latest Long Beach Official Guide with your registration.
Exhibitors are welcome to set up their displays, but the exhibits don't open
until Saturday morning.
Saturday Morning, February 13
Registration, exhibits, and breakfast begin at 7:00 a.m.
At 7:30, Lieutenant Governor candidate Pamela Brown presents
Jobs, Growth, and Recovery - with Free Markets.
Our convention opens at 9 a.m. with an official welcome from Kevin Takenaga,
Chair of the Libertarian Party of California.
Around 9:15 a.m., keynote speakers Christina Tobin, our
candidate for Secretary of State, and Richard Winger,
nationally-known producer of Ballot Access News, reveal The Dangers of "Top-two"
Balloting.
After the keynote presentation and until Noon, we'll be in business session,
where we'll nominate California delegates for upcoming LNC National
Convention, hear our officers and committee reports, address our Consent
Calendar and hear the Platform Committee report.
Before we break for lunch, Insurance Commissioner candidate Rick
Bronstein will introduce himself and appeal for your support in the
upcoming elections.
Saturday Afternoon, February 13
The Saturday afternoon segment begins with lunch at Noon, and our exhibitors
will be available, too.
At 12:30 p.m., Jack Dean, who publishes PensionWatch.com and PensionTsunami.com, reveals The
Impending Public Pension Crisis.
At 1:15 p.m., our business session resumes with the continuation of the
Platform Committee report. We'll nominate our Executive Committee At-large
Representatives and Alternates, Judicial Committee, and California's LNC
Representatives and Alternates.
Around 2:00 p.m., our candidate for U.S. Congress Edward
Gonzalez will introduce himself and briefly appeal for your
support.
Around 3:00 p.m., activist and entrepreneur Flavio Fiumerodo
will reveal How to Use Internet Services Effectively for Candidate
Campaigns.
We'll end the day's business around 5:00 p.m.
Saturday Evening,
February 13
At 7:00 p.m., our annual banquet features a delicious two-entree buffet, plus
the encouraging insights of activist and author L.K. Samuels,
who will present his research for his upcoming book on chaos. In particular,
Samuels will reveal how complexity theory favors the spread of libertarian
principles.
We'll have a lively fund raising auction to round out the evening's
festivities.
Sunday Morning, February 14
Convention registration, exhibits, and breakfast begin at 7:00 Sunday
morning.
At 8:00 a.m., perennial favorite Judge James Gray will start
our day with his rousing presentation, Libertarians to the Rescue in the
21st Century.
Business resumes at 9:00 a.m., when we'll hear the Bylaws Committee report,
continue nominating national convention delegates, endorse candidates for public
offices, and adopt resolutions.
Around 11:00 a.m., Greg Perry, of Perry Political Software
will address the body about Using Voter Registration Data Effectively.
He'll follow this presentation with a brief breakout session to work with
campaign signature gatherers on how to improve our
processes.
Sunday Afternoon, February 14
Lunch begins at Noon.
About 12:10, former Vice Presidential candidate Wayne Allyn Root will share
his energizing explanation for being Relentless: How to Sell, Market, Brand,
and Promote the LP to Success.
At 1:15, candidates for the Libertarian National Committee will answer
audience questions.
At 2:30, we'll begin to wrap up this year's business with the Bylaws
Committee report, national convention delegate selection, endorsement of
candidates, and resolutions.
Around 3:00, our candidate for Governor, Dale Ogden will
address the body.
